History of the Mount Robert and the Nelson Ski Club
Nelson Ski Club formed in 1944 and set up a ski field at Mt Robert, 2nd Basin. 2 lodges were built and 5 rope tows installed. Sadly lack of snow lead to field closure in 2003. The rope tows were removed but the huts remain.
